Offered for sale is this antique 1908 edition of Queen Alexandra of England’s ‘Christmas gift book – photos from my camera’ (The Daily Telegraph, London). If you love Downton Abbey, this is for you!
Contains a series of high-quality reproduced photos detailing life within the English royal family across 1908. There is a dedication.
Showcases the Edwardian era at its peak – bitterly poignant in that this world would soon be shattered in the aftermath of WW1 trench warfare and the Russian Revolution.
In good condition, no pictures have been removed.

'Pastels of Cumbrae Stewart'

Offered for sale is this antique 20th Century 1921 edition (limited to 1,000 copies) of C Stewart’s ‘The pastels of Cumbrae Stewart’ (The McCubbin James Press, Melbourne). Janet Agnes Cumbrae Stewart (1883-1960) is a sorely underappreciated figure in Australian art and queer history. Renewed critical and academic appreciation of her significant role as a supremely talented watercolour, oil and pastel artist will hopefully occur in the future.
An exceedingly rare and desirable book.
All colour and black-and-white plates are present and in excellent condition, unfortunately the dust jacket is missing. There is a small watermark to the front cover.

Finnish language 'Groo the wanderer' by Sergio Aragones

Presented for sale in original condition is this edition #1 of ‘Groo the Wanderer’, Sergio Argones' hilarious take on Conan the Barbarian. However this must be the rarest version ever - ‘Groo Svärdbäraren’, being printed in Finland in 1984. Even English versions of Groo #1 are rare given the poor paper quality used in original publication.

The back cover also features ‘The Phantom’ speaking Finnish - ‘man who speaks Finnish surely knows the end of things’.
