Offered for sale is this fun and rare vintage 20th Century Art Deco/Art Deco-style etched mirror, most likely Australian-made and estimated as dating from the late-1930’s to early-1950’s.
The design features a rectangular mirror form with scalloped edges and etched decoration of a skier cutting through some magnificent powder. In the background looms a large snowcapped mountain, nicely completing this active outdoors moment.
A fun decorator’s piece - and given the subject matter, an unusual find in the Australian market. Perfect for your home, business or chalet at Mount Buller, Threadbo etc.
In very good original condition. There is some occasional patination to the mirror plate, as expected from a correct vintage item and not modern reproduction.

Vintage 20th Century Japanese small printed mirror 'Bar Open'

Offered for sale is this small vintage 20th Century Japanese printed mirror, estimated as dating from the 1970’s.
The design features a polychrome-printed mirror with the words ‘Bar Open’ in a ‘Old West Bill Poster’ type font.
A fun decorators piece for any home or business (especially if you own a bar!).
In excellent overall condition. No cracks or chips. There is a small amount of patination to the printing (as pictured), appropriate for this being a proper vintage item and not modern reproduction.

Magnificently distressed Vintage 20th Century
French Empire-style plaster mirror

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century moulded plaster mirror, most likely European in origin and dating from the 1930’s to 1950’s. The maker is unknown.
Designed in a French Empire style, this has developed an incredible ‘Pictures of Dorian Gray’ level of distress that’s taken a lifetime to create. The plate has cracked across, allowing for the accidental and random development of magnificent bloom and peeling in several areas. There is also some small loses to the plaster and one crack (that you could easily stabilise if felt necessary).
The sort of decorative piece you’d see on an episode of ‘Salvage Hunters’ or featured in some ‘oh, we just threw our Tuscan villa together’ design book. Would make an incredible statement centrepiece for your bougie boho French Provincial country retreat, AirBnB or inner-city warehouse ghetto-pad.
Absolutely unique - you will not find another the same.

UNIQUE antique brass clock conversion mirror/picture frame

Offered for sale is this antique gilt brass clock case that has been transformed into a unique statement of delight!
The case itself most likely dates from the early 20th Century, and features a blend of neo-classical and gothic elements – cherubs, garlands, pierced galleries, columns, torches and a floral finial.
It’s now become the sort of decorative item you’d see in the best interior design books and magazines. You’ll be asked ‘wow – where did you get that?’.
This has been achieved by creating two customised inserts that either allow this to be enjoyed as a:
- Mirror
- Picture frame (there are three quirky examples which come provided, but you could easily make your own)
This flexibility, combined with the incredible patina of the case is a truly one-off statement piece. Would suit your warehouse apartment, converted church, castle or business. And you could always restore it back to a clock if desired.

Presented for sale is this charming antique wooden framed mirror. Given the style of carving and weight of bevilled glass it most likely dates from 1900 to the 1920’s.
Has some lovely patina on the frame and soft foxing to the plate which all adds to charm.
Measures 63.5cm (h) x 50cm (w) x 4cm (d) approximately. Ready to hang although given the weight I’d recommend replacing the current wire with chain.

Vintage 20th Century Japanese printed mirror 'Rosamond'

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century Japanese printed mirror, most likely dating from the 1970’s. One of a series by designer 'Sara Moon' (actually Iranian born, German National male – Bijan Djamalzadeh) that depicted stylishly dressed women from various historical eras.
Boho glam at its best! Titled ‘Rosamond’, this example very much shows a 1970’s look (although still current) wearing denim jeans, a flowing peasant shirt (in green glitter sleeves) and oversize Laura Astley hat decorated with flowers. Has a confident and composed expression that gazes out.
In very good original condition. No cracks, chips or damage to the mirror. The frame shows soft patination (which adds to the charm), as expected from a genuine vintage piece and not modern reproduction.
