With high-quality manufacture and styling straight off London’s Carnaby Street in the 1960’s, this is a fun and well-made fashion accessory for anyone to wear!

Vintage 20th Century Australian-made vinyl briefcase/suitcase

Offered for sale is this charming vintage 20th Century Australian dual-handled vinyl suitcase, estimated as dating from 1950’s to 1960’s and made by Fred Dodge Limited (Melbourne, Victoria). Founded by Fred Dodge in 1938, the company quickly expanded and operated in Collingwood (Smith Street) for many years. It continues successfully today as the Australian agent for Samsonite luggage. The original factory tag is present.
Created in a quality brown vinyl, the slightly-unusual design features two handles with extended covering flaps. Expands out and holds a large volume (could easily contain a laptop, or enough clothes for a short/overnight stay). The zip works as it should.
Very ‘Mad Men’ chic, a fun and funky piece of useful retro luggage.
In excellent original condition, no rips or tears. There is some very light patination (as you’d expect from a vintage item and not modern reproduction).

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century moulded-resin ‘Bijou-1 Paris’ compact table/handbag makeup mirror, estimated as dating from 1970’s to 1990’s. The country of manufacture is unknown, however research indicates this form has been copied by a company based in Japan (their later versions are either unbranded, feature a butterfly and/or are known as ‘Anna Sui’. The quality of their moulding is not as crisp.).
The dual-design features a charming stylised rose blossom within a scrolled border. This repeats on the interior. Snaps together correctly, stays closed properly.
A fun and useful accessory for anyone’s handbag or bathroom.

Offered for sale is this New Old Stock (NOS) Sumi Threads ‘The night parade II’ t-shirt. Sydney-based since their launch in 2018, this talented clothing company is inspired by contemporary popular and classical Japanese culture.
The eye-catching design (on the reverse) features a wonderful gallery of historical Japanese folkloric monsters (Yokai) and ghoulish Yūrei (ghosts). This includes the famous Hitotsume-kozō, Okiku, Yamauba, Oni and Chochin Obake. The front has a Tako (octopus) holding a brush - which has its own cultural meaning within Japanese folklore ;) nom nom.
The extremely-well detailed printing has been done on a quality black cotton t-shirt, with good weight.

Offered for sale is pair of vintage 20th Century guilloché-enamel and gilt metal cufflinks. Despite research, the maker (‘AT’ hallmark) remains unknown, however research indicates this design was created by Sporrong & Co (a renowned Swedish jewellery-making firm, founded in Stockholm in 1666 and still in business today). So they are most likely Swedish/Scandinavian in origin.
Each of these high-quality accessories features the Swedish ‘Three Crowns’ national coat of arms on a blue enamel ground. They may have originally been issued as part of a military dress uniform.

Worn and battered but still holding together, these have an absolutely genuine, lived-in look that’s just boss. If only they could talk, share their tales of mosh pits, bands, drunken revelry and no-holds-barred fun!

Offered for sale is this pair of vintage 20th Century Australian-made unisex Windsor Smith hiking boots, made in Melbourne by A D Mance and dating from the 1980’s to early 1990’s (before production was moved overseas). Founded in 1946 to produce cycling shoes, Windsor Smith remain in business today.
Made from a deep brown leather, these are quality footwear made when care and attention (along with local manufacture) was important. The boots were carefully cleaned and the leather nourished to enhance and protect their great look.
A great item for your inner-city hipsterjack/normcore wardrobe.
Overall both boots are in very good condition and show appropriate patination and wear for being proper vintage items. They appear to have been only lightly worn.
As no sizing tag is present, the insole has been measured and is 28.5cm – so would approximate a Womens/Mens 10-10.5 (Australian sizing) or EU 44.5–45 depending upon your foot.

Offered for sale is this rare vintage 20th Century Australian-made Snowgum ‘Polartec’ adventure-ware fleecy unisex jacket, most likely dating from the late 1980’s to early 1990’s. Founded in 1986 (and still Australian-owned/managed), Snowgum remains an important brand on the local outdoor/adventure clothing and accessories scene.
In a wonderfully eye-catching ‘Aspen/Banff/Falls Creek après-ski’ style, the jacket design features a predominantly black and purple colour scheme (with silver lozenges) highlighted with an alternating colour inner strip, large arrowhead/shield logo across the shoulders as well as their famous ‘stick figure’ logo. Also utilised are a variety of Australian aboriginal-style motifs of fish, turtles, lizards and birds.
A great piece for any vintage wardrobe – complete your inner-city normcore/hipsterjack look with this!

Offered for sale is this vintage 21st Century gold-printed black sweater, most likely made from polyester/polycotton and estimated to date from the early 2000’s. Despite extensive research, the actual brand and country of design/manufacture is unknown. The remains of an original shop/sales tag is still present.
The smart and eye-catching design features a gold-printed panther with the wording ‘La panthére du Marais’. The literal meaning of this is ‘The panther of the marshes’ or ‘The marsh panther’.
In very good original condition, no holes or tears and the printing is in excellent condition. The collar remains tight with very little slack/stretch. There is some very light piling through use and reflects it being a secondhand garment and not modern reproduction.
The garment was carefully washed and cleaned before sale.

Offered for sale is this set of vintage 20th American-made ‘Shuron’ gold-plated glasses frames with their original embossed blue leather presentation case, retailed by Coles & Garrard and most likely dating from the 1930’s. Started in 1865, Shuron continues to manufacture quality eyewear to this day. Melbourne-based Coles & Garrard were opened in March 1922 and eventually became Victoria’s largest eyewear retailer, continuing operation until 1988 (when purchased by OPSM).
These stylish and elegant spectacles reference designs of the late-19th/early-20th Century. They feature attractive stamping on the bridge, frame and arms. The original lenses are included for reference if wanting to source exact replacements.
Perfect for anyone who loves late-Victorian or Edwardian style, or great as cosplay/re-enactment items.
In good original condition and no missing screws. The presentation case has two small marks on the reverse.

RARE Vintage 20th Century. Australian Olympic Tyres tie-clip Automobilia

Offered for sale is this rare vintage 20th Century Australian Olympic Tyres tie-clip, made in Melbourne by Stokes and most likely dating from the 1960’s to 1970’s. Stokes has been producing badges, plated metalware and trophies since 1856 and continues operating today. Established by Sir Frank Beaurepaire in 1933 (at a new factory in West Footscray), Olympic Tyres was a prominent brand that continued production until 2008 (when the last tyre manufacturing plant in Australia ceased operation).
A hard-to-find automobilia collectable - as these would have only been available within the company (for managers, sales representatives, etc). The design features Olympic’s classically-inspired logo of a discuss thrower surmounting a large capital ‘O’.

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century Australian ‘Recoil’ t-shirt, most likely dating from the 1980’s to 1990’s. The original factory and sizing tags are in place.
Made from poly-cotton, the design features a textured vertical pattern with horizontal green and blue banding print across the body and sleeves. A nice additional feature is the internally-stitched blue V-neck collar (not simply printed). This t-shirt is a well-constructed garment - from when care and attention was given to manufacturing.

RARE Vintage 20th Century Middle-Eastern
embossed leather handbag

Offered for sale is this rare vintage 20th Century Middle-Eastern embossed leather handbag, dating from 1941 to 1942. It’s unusual to know exactly who, where and when any vintage accessory was purchased - however provenance indicates this was by 2nd AIF Sapper Frederick George Smith (Serial No. NX60694) when serving with the 2/15th Australian Field Company. The bag was purchased on leave during either 20-24 October 1941 (in Beirut) or 5 March 1942 (in Jerusalem). The 15th Australian Field Company were formed at Sydney in November 1940, then posted to (what was then known as) Palestine for training at the Dimra Training Camp for (most likely eventual) action against the Germans and Italians in the North Africa campaign. However the entry of Japan into the war during December 1941 saw the 15th return to Australia in March 1942. Enlisting on 23 August 1940, Sapper Smith eventually rose to the rank of Sergeant and trained as a bomb disposal expert in 1943. At end of his active war service he re-enlisted in the ‘Interim Army’ and served until 1948.
The embossed, strongly Art Deco-influenced design features a stylised repeated image of three camels being lead by donkey across sand-dunes. Above the camels are birds, a ‘rising sun’ and stone wall. Underneath and surrounding the main scene there a series of bold, abstract shapes and more stone walling. And there is of course an obligatory palm tree to the left – perhaps hinting that a desert oasis (with food and comforts) isn’t too far away!
Both side panels utilise classical Islamic geometrical patterns to form distinctive and attractive ends. There is also an oval lozenge with an Arabic phrase/wording that I’m unable to translate. The body is smartly held together by fine leather strapping.
This rare survivor is in very good original condition (given it’s 80 years old) – please note there is patination and wear which confirms its authenticity as a genuine vintage item. The press-stud still works, as do the zippers. A small stain is visible on one side panel (as pictured).
Measures 29.5cm (w) x 20.5cm (h) x 10.7cm (w) approximately.

In very good original condition. There are no rips, tears and the zip works correctly. There is a small amount of very light spotting (as pictured) but overall presents well given it’s 30-40 years old.
