Vintage 20th Century Canadian Sorel Juneau III work boots

Offered for sale is this pair of vintage 20th Century Canadian-made Sorel ‘Juneau III’ work boots, dating pre-2000 (when production was moved to China and Vietnam) and most likely from the 1990’s. Founded in 1962, Sorel developed a reputation for hard-working and well-made hiking and work boots that would (if cared for properly) last a lifetime. The company unfortunately went bankrupt in 2000 and were relaunched after a takeover by the Colombia Sportswear Company.
Well-constructed (using quality-stitching) dark blue leather uppers and one-piece rubberised lower and welt. Fitted with a plush green inner lining and finished with a low-sitting white faux-fur collar.
Perfect for wearing ootside, especially in the snow eh?
In very good original condition. There is some light wear (but both present as almost New Old Stock (NOS) condition) as expected from a vintage clothing item and not modern reproduction.

Vintage 20th Century German Art Deco-style cloche felt hat

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century Art Deco-style felt woman’s hat, made in Germany by Das Meister-Modell, and estimated as dating from the 1950’s. The label states the company commenced operation in 1833, however research found little other information.
The charming and well-made design features a classical Art Deco ‘Flapper’ style cloche form shaped from dark green felt with a silk band and pleated side-highlight.
In very good original condition. There is some light patination (with one tiny moth loss but no holes – as pictured), appropriate for this being a proper vintage item and not modern reproduction.

Vintage 20th Century English? tweed flat-cap
with press-stud brow

Offered for sale is this antique/vintage 20th Century Indian tribal silver ‘snake’ style bracelet, from the Rajasthan region and most likely dating from the early 1900’s to 1950’s.
The design features an embossed, two-piece clasp with left-threaded screw (to remove and secure the bangle) topped with a floral boss. From the clasps are fitted two tightly-braided silver flat-rope cords, held and separated by three embossed floral clasps.
In very good original condition. Over time the silver (which would be a lower grade than sterling) has patinated, which has not been polished but left intact to respect it being an antique/vintage piece.

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century German leather cap, estimated as dating from the 1960’s to 1970’s. As no factory tag is present the maker is unknown.
The well-made, multi-part design is made from black leather with a wool lining.
Would make a great hat for anyone into vintage motorbikes (it’s very much Marlon Brando in ‘The Wild Ones’ style).
In a wonderfully patinated, unique condition that’s not been faked but shows its use over many years (if only it could talk!). Please note the original green rubberised lining had perished and was removed – the asking price reflects this.

Well-crafted from dark brown leather and matching colour shot (or silk) lining, the multi-part design features attractive detailing including upper chevrons, highlighted pockets and adjustable rear cinch.

Vintage 20th Century shabby chic leather document briefcase/

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century leather document briefcase, most likely Australian in origin and dating from the 1950’s. Embossed in gold with ‘K.J.B’ lettering, so may have belonged to a dyslexic (and not very good at hiding themselves) KGB spy.
Constructed in quality stitched brown leather with English-made ‘Cheney’ fittings (that latch properly, and provide three width settings - depending upon what you’re carrying). Has two pockets, offering handy storage options as would easily fit a laptop or mobile device. Over time and with use, this has developed the most wonderful patina. There are repairs, wear marks and some separation (which could be repaired if desired). This has resulted in an utterly unique look – no one will have an example like this.
The ultimate vintage shabby chic accessory (and great talking point) for any lover of vintage. And still useful!

Offered for sale is this pair of used vintage 20th Century Australian leather combat/work boots, made in Melbourne by Russell D Allender and most likely dating from the 1990’s. Founded in 1962 by Bill Allender, the Preston-based company successfully grew to invest in manufacturing technology that saw it provide high-quality and well-regarded boots for the ADF, Fire, Police and Emergency Services across Australia. The original company closed in 2006, trading as Taipan Footwear before sadly going into liquidation in 2019.
Well-constructed in stitched black leather uppers with moulded soles.
A great locally-made, vintage alternative to a rubbish pair of new crappy Chinese Doc Martens!
Both are a matched size 10 and in very good original condition. There is some patination and wear (as pictured), appropriate for these being vintage items and not modern reproductions. Each was nourished with a leather feed to restore the finish.

Vintage 20th Century German Art Deco alpacca metal
HOKA cigarette case

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century German Art Deco cast and engine-turned Alpacca metal cigarette holder, estimated as dating from the 1930’s. Despite research, the manufacturer is unknown. Hallmarked ‘Alpacca HOKA’ on the locking clasp.
The handsome design features a two-part rectangular container form with decorative engine-turned finishing (wavy on the top, straight on the reverse). The upper portion has a vacant rectangular cartouche and foliate scroll-work to the lid and along the clasp edge. The interior has a textured gold-gilt finish.
Could easily hold business cards or be used again for its original purpose.
In good original condition. Opens and closes correctly. There is patination and wear to the metal, as expected from a genuine vintage item and not modern reproduction. The two internal straps are not present but could easily be reproduced.

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century Australian carry-briefcase, made post-WW2 by TOSCA Leathergoods (of Melbourne) and estimated as dating from the 1960’s. Founded in 1960 and still in operation today, TOSCA have become an iconic and respected retailer of high-quality luggage, wallets, purses, etc.
The attractive design features a classical form carry-briefcase of the 1930-50’s, made from exterior brown vinyl-coated, green fabric-lined interior that features three compartments.
A useful and stylish addition to any vintage wardrobe.

Vintage 20th Century English novelty glass/leather hip flask

Offered for sale is this fun vintage 20th Century English novelty hip flask, made post-WW2 and estimated as dating from the 1950’s to 1960’s. Despite research the maker is currently unknown.
The design features a moulded clear-glass, curved hip flask with plated metal drinking cup and fitted green and red leather outer. The leather is of good quality and nicely stitched. It has a viewing window; along with levels marked in gold gilt for ½, ¼ full and finally the words ‘DAMN FOOL’.
In very good original condition. Please note the original screw-cap (which you could find a replacement for) is not present and has been replaced by a temporary stopper (with some cork missing). The cup and leather features a very small amount of patination, appropriate for this being a proper vintage item and not modern reproduction.

Offered for sale is this collection of three vintage late-20th/early-21st Century Chinese historical reproduction costume/cosplay caps, most likely dating from the 1990’s to early 2000’s. The quality and construction of these appears better than brand-new versions available.
Included is a:
- Black felt and gold silk (lined with red cloth) on card, Qing Dynasty-style ‘Palace’ Imperial cap with an embroidered central ideogram surrounded by two golden dragons. Surmounted by a golden ball finial with red tassels. Size 58.
- Black, blue and red cloth (lined with red cloth) on card, Qing Dynasty-style ‘Landlord’ cap with an embroidered ideogram on a black cloth ground. Size 60.
- Black silk Qing Dynasty-style Imperial Courtier, Scholars or Court Official folding cap. Unlined, and folds neatly when not in use.
All in very good original condition, there is some internal fading to the red cloth and occasional patination.

Offered for sale is this pair of USA-made ‘Round House’ denim jeans, created in Oklahoma (at Shawnee). Founded in 1903, this highly-regarded maker of workwear and fashion clothing continues production today and is the oldest manufacturing firm in that State. In 2011 their ongoing success was acknowledged by winning Oklahoma Exporter of the Year award.
Called their ‘Carpenter’ design, it features a baggy-cut with nice styling accents such as hammer-loop and angled pocket (there are five in total). Well constructed with reinforced double-stitching and made from quality denim.
Perfect for street-wear or a trendy traddie!

belt buckle for Andeker Beer

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century USA-made brass, cast metal and enamelled belt buckle. Created by Raintree for Andeker Beer and dating from 1978. Introduced by Pabst Brewery of Milwaukee in 1939 and discontinued in the 1960’s, this European-style beer was revived during the 1970’s before production ceased again in the mid-1980’s. It has been brought back into current, limited production at the company’s heritage micro-brewery site.
The eye-catching design features a large brass buckle with curving scrolled borders, inset with a cast metal and enamelled logo for Andeker Beer.

Vintage 21st Century 13th Kustom Kulture Picnic t-shirt

Offered for sale is this retro early-21st Century Australian-made commemorative t-shirt, created by Blue Gum (for John’s Rod & Custom) for the 13th Annual Kustom Kulture Weekend (held 28-30th October 2005). Started in the 1980’s and still operating today, John’s Rod & Custom is well-known for providing a wide range of hot rod parts, clothing and lifestyle items.
The eye-catching design features a great variety of rockabilly/psychobilly, hot rod and custom-car culture iconography. Central is a chopped-down yellow 1920/30’s hot rod coupe with a V8 (complete with open intakes), guided by a sunglassed figure with their flat-top flying in the breeze. Above this is a ‘Straight Aces’ poker-hand with the ace of spades on top and ‘Lucky 13th’ wording above this. Below the cards and hot rod are event details are five event company logos. The reverse features the John’s Rod & Custom logo.
In very good original condition, no rips or tears. As with any secondhand garment, there is some patination and light wear. Was carefully washed and ironed before sale.

Vintage 20th Century Australian-made
Western Style tooled leather belt

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century hand-tooled leather belt, most likely made in Australia and estimated as dating from the 1970’s to 1980’s. Despite research the maker is unknown, however their initials (ALET?) may appear at the rear.
The belt has been made using a high level of attention to detail and quality - for example it has been inset with green suede for both comfort and to add contrast with the pierce-work, as well as using an Australian-made AROS buckle and fittings. The design features extensive foliate/feathering with multiple pierced galleries and is smartly finished with double-buttonhole stitched edging.
In very good original condition. Over time the leather has patinated, reflecting this being a proper vintage item and not modern reproduction. The leather was nourished using an appropriate industry-standard product before sale.

Vintage 20th Century Australian leather briefcase

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century Australian leather hinged briefcase, made in New South Wales by Herford Pty Ltd and most likely dating from the late 1940’s to 1950’s. Originally known as P&A Herford, not much is available about this firm but they are known to have been Sydney-based and in operation from the early 1900’s until their merger to become Herford/Sherington in the 1960/70’s.
Created in thick brown leather (the quality of which is impossible to reproduce today) the classical design is a based on late-19th/early-20th Century examples. Made using English CHENEY brass fittings (the lock-plate has three height settings). The cream interior has three useful divisions (one divider has a dual-pocket, the other a small holder). Over its 70-year history the leather has taken on a fantastic aged colour and patination.
Could easily hold a laptop, tablet device, etc – and your lunch!
In very good overall condition. The leather was treated to two coats of industry-standard restorative wax to nourish and preserve. Being a used item of vintage luggage there is light marking, some colour-lift on one of the hinged ends and a very small tear to the hidden lift-flap (both as pictured), which you could re-dye and reglue if felt necessary. Details of a previous owner remain in place and have been left in respect of this item having a history and not being a modern reproduction.

Vintage 20th Century USA-made Santa Fe/South Western

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century USA-made decorated Santa Fe/South Western poly-cotton t-shirt, manufactured by Durex (no, not that one) and most likely dating from the 1980’s to early 1990’s. The original factory tags are present.
This wildly-fun retro garment has had a wonderful amount of hand-applied decoration added to create a one-off piece. Over four stitched ‘American tribal’ woven-cloth panels, silver glitter and gold puffer-paint has been added in a Brutalist, organic style. These each form a distinct panel that together adds up to make an eye-catching, bold statement garment. But if that’s not enough Santa Fe/South Western for you, a pressed-metal star motif medallion with five feathered tassels sits proudly on the central panel. Add to this the zig-zag and dotted collar motif, and you’ve got one special t-shirt. It even has the original shoulder pads fitted (which you could remove if desired)!
In excellent, almost New Old Stock (NOS) condition, appears only very lightly (if ever) worn by previous owners.
