Offered for sale is this silver bangle set with a green hardstone. Unmarked but silver as shows appropriate lustre, thermal properties and lack of magnetism. Weighs at 10grams.

The design offers an elegant and light design, with clever use of a central barley-twist and silver strands. All very boho chic! The hardstone is dark-green in colour so possibly jade.

In excellent original condition.

Measures 6.5cm (diam.) x 15cm with a 2cm opening (approx.) - which could be widened if required.

RARE Antique 20th Century West Australia Druids badge

Offered for sale is this rare antique Australian Druids brass and enamel badge, created in the early 20th Century for the Western Australian chapter by G Sheridan in Perth. Several fraternal societies for druidry have been around since the 18th Century, and as an order respecting the natural world it continues globally.

Vintage white metal earrings bird and leaf design

Offered for sale is this pair of vintage pressed white metal and brass earrings, most likely made within the last 25 years and using a design possibly from Afghanistan. Hollow-form so very light, won’t drag on your lobes.

A charming stylised bird sits atop a hand-engraved brass leaf. Carefully cleaned to accent their patination – and loops disinfected for hygiene.

Both measure (top of loop to base of leaf) 7cm (approx). One appears to have had the original loop replaced (as pictured).

Vintage 20th Century Italian Etruscan Revival

ALP cast metal and decorated cuff bracelet

Offered for sale is this stunning vintage 20th Century Italian Etruscan Revival metal and faux-hardstone bracelet, estimated as dating from the 1950’s to 1960’s. Hallmarked ‘ALP’.

The bold and eye-catching design features a two-part hinged cast metal, ovoid-form bracelet. Each part has an outer series of raised, four-sided stylised foliate/scrolling forms surrounded by beading and separated with ovoid lozenges. One piece has been further decorated by having three green glass cabochons mounted in scroll-wire borders. Neatly held by a draw-back pin with floral terminal.

Can be worn with either the cabochons prominent or not, depending upon the wearer’s preference – so a flexible item of costume jewellery.

In very good original condition. There is some patination/verdigris to the metal (and one very small hole, hard to notice when worn but noted for a full item description), as expected from a vintage item and not modern reproduction.

Measures 18.5cm (inner diameter) approximately.

Vintage 20th Century silver, gold and amethyst ring

Offered for sale is this charming vintage 20th Century silver, gold and amethyst ring. Estimated as dating from the 1970’s to 1990’s. Extensive research has unfortunately been unable to directly attribute a maker, but the style and construction is possibly Central European or Indonesian (Bali) in origin.

The organic-style design features a central amethyst in a high-shoulder mount surrounded by delicate wire-work and graduated beading. Horizontally opposed to the stone are two pointed, gold (most likely 9ct) leaves (or feathers) set within a border.

In very good overall original condition. There is some patination appropriate for this being a proper vintage item and not modern reproduction.

Measures (internal diameter) 17.69mm, so a size O&1/2 (or 7&1/2) approximately.

Vintage 20th Century English 'Miracle Jewellery'

Celtic/Viking pewter pendant

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century English Celtic/Viking Revival costume jewellery pewter and resin pendant, made by Miracle Jewellery and estimated as dating from the 1960’s to 1970’s. Originally founded in 1946 in Birmingham by A Hill & Co, this well-known company become the country’s leading manufacturer of Celtic, Scottish and Viking Revival jewellery. In 2013 manufacturing was relocated to Cornwall and continues today under the name ‘St Justin’.

The eye-catching, Scottish/Viking-inspired design features an eight-sided elongated form cast in pewter. There are a series of outer repeating beaded and chevron-pattern galleries with coloured cabochon resin stones. These act as background for the raised central boss (and its four inset resin stones) - it having a sinuous, classical-era Viking dragon. The pressed-metal clasp also has a sinuous element to it, adding another nice attention to detail.

In excellent original condition.

Measures 5cm (h) x 4cm (w), the chain being 62cm (l) approximately.

Vintage 20th Century Mexican Taxco silver and jade ring

Offered for sale is this charming vintage 20th Century Mexican Southwestern silver filigree and jade ring. Made post-WW2 in in the city of Taxco (famous for its silversmiths) and most likely dating from the 1960’s to 1979. Despite extensive research the maker, ‘EMB’ couldn’t be ascribed

at this time.

The lovely design features an expandable ring form with extensive decoration. An ovoid, grooved cabochon jade sits (slightly off-centre) in a low, custom mount with surrounding twisted-wire and twelve (six per side) curvaceous filigree shadow galleries. The grooved shaping of the jade is highly unusual (no other example could be found for comparison) – given that this highly-prized material was historically extensively used for other other decorative uses (eg masks, earrings, blades etc), it may indicate this was either originally intended as part of another element (and has broken off during manufacture) or is a much older piece (of a larger item) that has been re-used.

In excellent original condition. There is some patination appropriate for this being a proper vintage item and not modern reproduction.

Currently measures (internal diameter) 20.17mm, so a U&1/2 (or 10&1/2) approximately. However this can be easily compressed or expanded to fit different sizings.

Vintage 20th Century European amber and silver bracelet

hallmarked

Presented for sale is this lovely vintage amber (genuine, not plastic) and silver cuff bracelet. Stamped with the CMC 925 ‘scales’ logo so European in origin, and at least post-1976. Also separately hallmarked ‘TT’ (or two stylised cups), 925 and what looks to be a three-towered castle (so possibly made in Denmark).

Elegantly crafted with open feathering and curls on either side of the cabochon-cut amber, which has a lovely warm honeyed colour.

I have not cleaned this piece but respected the original patina. You could always use a gentle polishing with a silver cloth to bring back the shine.

Measures 60.3mm across.
