Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century Spanish-made handled wooden carrier, most likely dating from the 1960’s to 1970’s.
In a ‘Spanish Mission’ style, this is a fun and quirky bit of interior design! At some point in the past it’s been painted matt black and dry-brushed with gold paint. All very boho chic and lifts it from the heavy brown staining it would have originally had. The fun thing is that in different light it can look more cream/sand than gold, and sometimes the matt black seems a dominant colour - a bit like THAT dress.
A useful as well as decorative item - sturdily constructed and can hold a variety of items (as pictured, but not included – eg wine bottles, magazines, records, etc).
Measures 56cm (h) x 50cm (w) x 23cm (d) approximately.

Vintage 20th Century Japanese glazed pottery Siamese Cat

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century Japanese pottery glazed Siamese Cat, made by KK Ceramics and most likely dating from the 1950’s to 1970’s. KK Ceramics produced a wide range of novelty and practical tableware pottery.
The design smartly captures the elegance of a Siamese Cat sitting at ease. With ears at alert and engaging deep blue eyes, you almost want to pat it (or feed it, cats like that)!
In excellent original condition, no chips, cracking or damage. There is a small amount of craquelure, however this is to be expected on glazed vintage items.
Measures 22cm (l) x 19cm (h) x 14.5cm (d) approximately.

Vintage 20th Century marquetry Angry Dolphin platter

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century marquetry platter in hardwood, most likely dating from 1950’s to 1960’s.
The unusual design features a dolphin with a seriously angry look ... ‘What’s that Flipper? We’ve stuffed up the oceans, put you in entertainment parks and took all the fish?'. Well I’d be *(^*$#^ angry too!!’.
A quirky and useful (as well as decorative) styling item for any the home or business. You could also carefully add a loop to convert it into a wall plaque. Personally I’d like to see this end up on board the Sea Shepherd.
In very good overall condition, there’s one tiny mark (as pictured).

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century original ‘Nail art’/Shedwork decorative plaque, possibly American (maybe WITCO) and dating from the 1960’s. The artist in unknown.
An example of ‘peasant chic’ prevalent during the 60’s, the stylised image most likely depicts a Mexican/Spanish labourer at work (or contemplating a cactus - who really knows the inner thoughts of people made from nails?). Nailed into wooden board with hessian backing.
A quirky and unusual decorative item.
In very good overall original condition. There is one small loss to the hessian (as pictured).

A charming decorator’s item, featuring skilfully moulded and applied roses (in soft pink) and leaves.
